It’s been a while since my last update, as the last quarter of 2019 was an extremely busy one and I’m pleased to say that 2020 has started off in much the same way.
I have been providing support for Bio&Me, the UK’s first dedicated, evidence-based gut health food company, which launched in Sainsburys and Waitrose in December. In the spirit of research I have tried two of the granolas and they’re delicious.
I continue to advise @pizza, which goes from strength to strength and is looking to open new outlets in 2020 in addition to its restaurants in Grand Central, Birmingham and in Edinburgh.
Since the start of this year I have completed a significant structural reorganisation for the Exponent-backed dairy and dairy alternative manufacturer, Meadow Foods, and advised them on a substantial supply contract.
You may remember that I acted for a group of dermatologists backed by August Private Equity to set up a private dermatology platform in 2018. I have just completed a new bolt on acquisition acting for Vishal Madan who has added his practice to The Dermatology Partnership https://thedermatologypartnership.com/.
I’m also delighted to have acted alongside Akin Gump and DLA Piper, acting for management on the secondary buyout of caravan holiday home and luxury lodge manufacturer, ABI UK. On top of that I have three new disposals due to complete in February and March.
All in all, it’s been a very busy but really great start to the new year. Jim Lavery Law is in very good health right now and I am continuing to look for new business!
